Back in 1820, in Bologna, the Giovanni Buton Distillery was founded, thanks to the ingenuity of the Buton family, already an established producer of Cognac in the renowned Charent region of France. From the very beginning, the Trebbiano Bianco grape variety was the preferred choice for the production of our Brandy. After years of experimentation, in 1939, one of the most iconic spirits of our country was finally presented to the public: "Vecchia Romagna". This crucial brand is still characterized today by its unmistakable triangular-shaped bottle. The evolution of this great classic is represented by the "Etichetta Nera" version, obtained from the highest quality grapes and subjected to a long refinement in oak barrels. This variety is known and admired throughout the world for its fine quality and its authentically Italian taste.
