In 2014 Damm began working with farmers in Prades, an area with similar climate and soil characteristics to the most famous hop-producing regions. After years of experimenting with different types of hops, it turned out that the bittering variety Nugget was the best at adapting to the soil. That's how Complot was born, the first IPA with a Mediterranean hop.
