Sassicaia 2011 is an icon of Italian winemaking and one of the most prestigious wines in the world. Produced in the renowned Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC denomination, it comes from a careful selection of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and Cabernet Franc (15%) grown in the vineyards of Tenuta San Guido , located on the hills of the Tuscan Maremma.
The 2011 vintage was characterized by a warm and dry climate, with a dry and breezy summer that led to a perfect ripening of the grapes, giving the wine a great structure and an excellent capacity for aging .
