Produced in the prestigious Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC denomination, it comes from a selection of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and Cabernet Franc (15%) grown in the vineyards of Tenuta San Guido , located on the hills of the Tuscan Maremma.
The 2014 vintage was one of the most challenging , characterized by a complex climate trend, with abundant rainfall during the summer season. However, thanks to the extraordinary experience of Tenuta San Guido and a rigorous selection of grapes, the 2014 Sassicaia stands out for its freshness, elegance and tannic finesse , despite having a less powerful structure than other vintages. The wine is aged for approximately 24 months in French oak barriques , developing aromatic depth and great balance .
