The 2010 Solaia is one of the most famous Supertuscans , one of the best expressions of Italian winemaking and a wine that represents the perfect balance between power, elegance and longevity .
Produced with Cabernet Sauvignon (75%), Sangiovese (20%) and Cabernet Franc (5%) , it is born in the heart of Chianti Classico , in the south-west facing vineyards of the Tignanello Estate , owned by the Antinori family.
The 2010 vintage is considered extraordinary , thanks to favorable climatic conditions, with a hot and dry summer and cool nights that allowed an optimal ripening of the grapes. The result is a wine of great depth and complexity , with an extraordinary capacity for aging. After vinification, the 2010 Solaia was refined for about 18 months in French oak barriques , giving it a harmonious structure and an extraordinary finesse.
